  12.      The attached file (FONTSEE2.EXE) is our latest (05/16/92) revision
  13. of our FontSee font viewing utility. In May of 1991 we released the
  14. original version (called the Fontographer, but the name has changed
  15. due to a conflict with a Mac program named Fontographer) of FontSee
  16. which allowed viewing of all typefaces installed under Windows and printing
  17. of typefaces, character sets, and reference cards. In August '91 some bugs
  18. were fixed and a second release was issued. This version adds some major
  19. features to FontSee to make it the BEST font viewing utility available.

  21.     * You can now print or VIEW characters sets and reference cards
  22.       on screen.
  23.  
  24.     * You can now change the point size of fonts viewed/printed.
  25.  
  26.     * ...and most importantly you can now select a target application
  27.       and (via the mouse) type using a virtual (on-screen) keyboard.
  28.       For example, if you load MS Word 2.0 and FontSee you can
  29.       select MS Word 2.0 as the target application by choosing the Select
  30.       Target Application and pointing to the MS Word edit window. Now, by
  31.       clicking on the virtual keyboard FontSee will automatically type
  32.       in MS Word 2.0 for you. This is especially useful when you need a
  33.       special symbol such as the copyright symbol...just select your target
  34.       app, load up FontSee, go to on-screen Reference card mode, and click
  35.       on the character you need. Of course you have to coordinate things
  36.       so that both FontSee and the target are working with the same typeface.

  38. Notes: The virtual keyboard part of FontSee was developed as an
  39.  Independent Study project at Northern Illinois University during the
  40.  Fall '91 semester. The rest of the program has been developed
  41.  independently. Developing FontSee from birth to finish has been a
  42.  great challenge and learning experience for me. I have been writing
  43.  commercial software since 1985 for the Atari 8-bit computers and am
  44.  now moving to Windows development. This program is consequently
  45.  being released into Shareware. If you like it please send $10.00
  46.  to the above address and you will receive the next upgrade automatically
  47.  along with the manual for this program. Feel free to distribute this
  48.  program in any way you see fit providing that it and this text file
  49.  remain unchanged. This includes adding it to public domain libraries...
  50.  etc. Just be sure to send the registration fee if you use it.

  54. Freeze! (a true multitasking file compression utility for Windows), and
  55. TrashCan (a trash can for dragging File Manager file to).
  56.   We will soon be releasing The Business Manager: a complete business
  57. package for Windows. Freeze! and TrashCan are Shareware, and The Business
